In response to the inspection needs of the oil depot area of Shenyan Coal Support Center and the characteristics of flammable and explosive environments, Tianchuang Robot takes the T9-R explosion-proof rail-hanging robot as the core, replacing the operation and maintenance personnel in strict accordance with the "Five Determinations" regulations and completing the daily inspection tasks of the tank farm by "fixing people","fixing priorities","fixing content" and "fixing routes". It provides a new means of assistance to ensure efficient and safe production in the center's oil storage and transportation management, and further improves the level of intelligent construction.

Project Background
The oil delivery and delivery station of the Oil Storage and Transportation Department of the Service Support Center is responsible for the fuel supply of coal mining equipment, including 3 large oil storage tank farms.
In the past, most of the inspections of oil depots and tanks relied on manual inspections and on-site duty. In order to improve the timeliness and accuracy of inspection, this project implemented the deployment of a set of T9-R explosion-proof rail-hanging robots to realize a new model of autonomous, intelligent and precise inspection and maintenance in the tank farm.
Business Challenges
The oil storage tank area covers an area of about 3000m2 and is a flammable and explosive area. Due to the vast operating space, the inspection positions of valves, switches, instruments and other equipment are scattered, and the inspection routes are long, and manual inspections are often unable to collect effective data. For example, whether the valve opens and closes normally, the values of instruments and meters are read, the surface temperature of the equipment changes, the abnormal gas changes in the inspection line of the tank farm, the abnormal sound in the inspection line of the tank farm, etc., if the abnormal situation cannot be discovered and handled in a timely manner, it will cause greater safety hazards.
In normal operation of oil depots, most of the equipment and facilities are in good condition on the outside. Inspectors are prone to a careless mentality. There is no way to verify whether the staff conducts inspections at fixed points on time and in quantity in accordance with the requirements of the regulations. There may be missed inspections and cannot be traced back. In addition, due to differences in the work experience, abilities, and attitudes of inspection personnel, the accuracy of equipment information collection will deviate, and the situation description will be inaccurate and unclear, which will make it difficult to report, process, analyze, and organize abnormal information in the future.
Traditional manual inspection uses manual entry into the data system, which has a large workload, low efficiency, and poor timeliness of post-processing. The basic data, abnormal data and hidden danger handling records recorded by the inspection equipment are isolated data. The analysis and processing of data and conditions are not time-sensitive, resulting in many feedback on-site real-time conditions that cannot be given due attention, posing potential safety hazards.
Solutions
In view of the spatial characteristics of the surrounding environment of the oil depot tank farm and the standard requirements for daily inspection content and process, Tianchuang Robot takes the T9-R explosion-proof rail-hanging robot body as the core, and cooperates with the communication base station, track system, workstation, and charging station to jointly build a set of intelligent inspection system based on the tank farm.
The Tianchuang T9-R rail-mounted robot has the highest explosion-proof rating of IIC. Based on the terrain structure of the tank area, it is hoisted in the form of a floor gantry for the first time, and is automatically charged through distributed charging piles deployed in the coal handling area.
The robot can independently complete daily inspection work such as valve status identification, instrument value reading, identification of pipeline "running, rising, dripping, and leaking" phenomena, equipment surface temperature monitoring, and detection of abnormal gas changes in the regional environment as planned. Dangerous information such as overtemperature, abnormal work and leakage of flammable and explosive liquids in the equipment and facilities in the tank farm is discovered in a timely manner. When the value exceeds the set range, an alarm will be automatically triggered to remind the personnel on duty to deal with the abnormal situation.
Through the intelligent centralized control and inspection platform, all monitoring, control, adjustment, and data collection can be controlled remotely in the control room, so that after an abnormality or accident occurs, the cause of the failure can be quickly located and the failure can be eliminated as soon as possible to resume production operation. At the same time, the system platform uses three-dimensional digital twin technology to build a 3D visual interface for the service support center oil depot area, allowing operation and maintenance personnel to more intuitively and clearly grasp the current operating status of the tank farm instruments, equipment, and pipeline facilities.
